Comissioners Office & County Clerk

The County Clerk of Gilmer County is an appointed position which serves the governing authority in the capacity of preparing and recording all official documentation. It is also the County Clerks responsibility to maintain such records as indicated by specific statutory requirements. The Gilmer County Clerk currently serves a duel role as the COS (Chief of Staff), otherwise known as the Human Resources Director. This role encompasses labor reporting, records maintenance, benefits administration, workers compensation and risk management for all county employees.

Diana Buttram was raised and educated in southern California. She moved to Atlanta Georgia eighteen years ago when she married an Atlanta native. Prior to the move to Ellijay Diana was employed for fifteen years as the Director of Commission Services for GSFC a State of Georgia agency that administered student loan funding.
